YOUR DIAGNOSIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A LIFE SENTENCE.

Take back control of your mental wellness

At Monarch, we understand the power of a diagnosis and what it can mean for your life. We use LENS Neurofeedback to get to the root cause of many conditions and symptoms to create a well balanced and optimized environment for your mind to heal.

Conditions & Symptoms We Help At Monarch

Monarch uses LENS Neurofeedback to relieve or eliminate symptoms associated with many conditions.

At Monarch Counseling, we understand that mental health and neurological conditions are complex—diagnoses can be comorbid, meaning multiple conditions may exist together, and symptoms often overlap, making it difficult to pinpoint a single underlying cause. Rather than focusing solely on labels, we take a symptom-based approach, recognizing that each individual’s experience is unique. LENS Neurofeedback serves as a powerful tool to help regulate brainwave activity, supporting relief from a wide range of symptoms associated with ADHD, anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injuries, PTSD, and more. By working with the brain’s natural ability to adapt and heal, we help clients experience greater clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being—regardless of diagnosis.

Monarch approaches healing from a holistic point of view to optimize mental, physical, & emotional health.

Your diagnosis is one possible answer to a very a complex problem.  At Monarch, we honor the connection between mind, body, and emotion, considering all of your neurological, psychological, and physiological symptoms as a whole.

We track and measure the effectiveness of your LENS Neurofeedback Sessions

When you come in for your LENS Neurofeedback session, we will periodically request that you track your symptoms.  This doesn't mean your diagnosed condition is unimportant; however, many of the symptoms of varying conditions overlap, and may ultimately originate in different areas of the brain.  The LENS system is designed to discover problem areas and address them directly.  During each appointment, your Monarch Neurofeedback Specialist will make note of increasing or diminishing symptoms, and address new symptoms as they arise to ensure that your neurofeedback program is optimized and personalized just for you.   Here are some of the conditions and symptoms we can help with LENS at Monarch.

Your Symptoms Are NOT Your Fault

Your brain is the control center of your body, controlling psychological, neurological, and physiological health.

Mental and emotional health can be complex, and struggling with symptoms—diagnosed or not—can feel frustrating and confusing. But no matter what you're experiencing, know this: it’s not your fault. The brain and body are deeply connected, and sometimes emotional challenges have physiological roots, just as physical symptoms can stem from neurological patterns. At Monarch Counseling, we recognize this connection and offer LENS neurofeedback as a tool to help optimize brain activity and ease symptoms. You don’t have to navigate this alone—we’re here to support you on your path to healing.

adhd

ADHD & LENS Neurofeedback

Many individuals report feeling calmer, more present, and better able to manage daily tasks after LENS sessions.

ADHD Symptoms you may experience

ADHD is characterized by symptoms of inattention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, trouble following instructions, forgetfulness, disorganization, difficulty focusing or completing tasks.

What we may see in ADHD brainwaves

Increased Theta Waves are linked to daydreaming, inattention, and lack of focus.  Combined with decreased Beta waves which are associated with difficulties in concentration, alertness, and task completion.

How can LENS help with ADHD?

LENS Neurofeedback helps individuals with ADHD by retraining brainwave patterns to improve focus, impulse control, and emotional regulation. It reduces excessive theta waves, which are linked to inattention, while enhancing beta waves, which support concentration and cognitive function. Over time, this leads to better executive functioning, improved memory, reduced hyperactivity, and enhanced mood stability.

tbi

Traumatic Brain Injury & LENS Neurofeedback

Many individuals experience improved memory, mental clarity, emotional stability, and reduced headaches or dizziness after sessions.

Symptoms you may experience with a TBI

Patients with TBI (either known or unknown) can often present with brain fog, reduced mental clarity, headaches, dizziness, memory loss, cognitive difficulties, mood swings, or difficultiy sleeping

What we may see in TBI brainwaves

Decreased Beta Waves and Increased Delta and Theta (Slow) waves are linked to cognitive sluggishness, mental fog and a lack of clarity in thinking and processing.

How can LENS help with a TBI?

LENS can help Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) recovery by promoting neuroplasticity, helping the brain reorganize and heal damaged neural pathways. It reduces excessive slow-wave activity (delta/theta), which contributes to brain fog and fatigue, while enhancing beta waves for better focus and cognitive clarity.

LENS helps calm overstimulation and restore balance to brain function, leading to better overall cognitive and emotional well-being.

traumabrain

PTSD, Trauma, & LENS Neurofeedback

Over time, individuals often experience greater resilience, a sense of calm, and improved cognitive function.

Trauma symptoms you may experience

A Trauma or PTSD response may cause you to experience flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, avoidance behaviors, anxiety, or irritability.

What we may see in PTSD brainwaves

High beta activity leads to an overactive fight-or-flight response, while high delta activity is associated with dissociation and emotional numbness.  Low alpha levels reduce relaxation and emotional regulation, making it difficult to shift out of a stress state. Finally, dysregulated theta disrupts memory processing, emotional integration, and trauma recall.

How can LENS help with PTSD & Trauma?

LENS Neurofeedback helps with PTSD and extreme trauma by calming the overactive stress response and rebalancing dysregulated brainwave activity. It reduces hyperactive high-beta waves, which are linked to hypervigilance and anxiety, while enhancing alpha waves to promote relaxation and emotional stability. LENS also helps process traumatic memories by regulating theta and delta waves, improving cognitive clarity, emotional resilience, and reducing dissociation.

You don't have to do this alone!

anxiety-5

Anxiety & LENS Neurofeedback

Many individuals report feeling less overwhelmed and more in control of their emotions after sessions.

Symptoms you may experience with Anxiety

Patients with Anxiety or GAD may experience excessive worry, restlessness, racing thoughts, rapid heartbeat, muscle tension, or sleep disturbances.

What we may see in Anxiety brainwaves

Patients with anxiety or panic disorder may experience high beta waves which leads to a heightened fear response low alpha brain waves leading to a poor relaxation and chronic stress response.

How can LENS help with Anxiety?

LENS helps with anxiety by reducing excessive high-beta activity, which is linked to excessive worry, racing thoughts, and tension. It promotes alpha waves, encouraging relaxation and emotional balance, and helps regulate theta waves, improving stress resilience and reducing hyperarousal. By calming the nervous system and resetting maladaptive brainwave patterns, LENS can lead to decreased anxiety, improved focus, better sleep, and an overall sense of calm.

stress-icon

Stress & LENS Neurofeedback

Many individuals report feeling more centered, less reactive, and better able to handle daily pressures.

Stress symptoms you may experience

Stress can cause physical tension, fatigue, sleep issues, anxiety, mood swings, racing thoughts, trouble concentrating, and behavioral changes like avoidance or unhealthy coping.

What we may see in Stress brainwaves

Stress affects brainwave activity by increasing high-beta waves, which are linked to excessive worry and hypervigilance. At the same time, it reduces alpha waves, making relaxation and emotional regulation more difficult. Theta waves may become dysregulated, leading to difficulty processing emotions and intrusive thoughts. Excess delta wave activity can cause fatigue, brain fog, and a sense of mental overload.

How can LENS help with Stress?

LENS Neurofeedback helps with stress by calming the nervous system and resetting dysregulated brainwave patterns that contribute to chronic tension. It reduces excessive high-beta waves, which are associated with overthinking and heightened stress responses, while enhancing alpha waves to promote relaxation and emotional balance. By stabilizing theta and delta waves, LENS improves resilience to stress, leading to better emotional regulation, reduced physical tension, and an overall sense of calm.
